We are seeking to establish a pool of Health and Physical Education Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2026. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Bob Hawke College in Subiaco opened in February 2020 to more than 250 Year 7 students and is the first high density public secondary college in Western Australia.

We understand the importance of looking after the wellbeing of the whole child. Every student at our College will be well known and valued. Our pastoral care approach has been specifically designed to support young adults. Specialist staff provide students with individual support as well as health and wellbeing programs. All our teaching and essential services staff excel in their profession and inspire and motivate students, encouraging them to take responsibility for themselves, for others and for the world around them.

The Role

As a member of our team, you will ideally be a conscientious, flexible and innovative teacher who is committed to the development of the whole student. You will ideally be actively involved both within the College and wider community, highly reflective of your teaching practices and committed to evidence-based decision making and differentiation.

We seek motivated applicants with a passion for teaching Health and Physical Education at the secondary level, possessing a solid understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum. In your role as a Health and Physical Education teacher, you will ideally deliver a curriculum tailored to the diverse needs of all students, fostering an environment where every student is empowered to reach their full potential. Your dedication to academic excellence and high-quality teaching and learning will set the standard for our learning community.

We place high value on your strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills, anticipating your active contribution to shaping and promoting the College’s values, ethos and priorities throughout the entire College community.  Building positive relationships with students and fostering a passion for creating positive futures aligns seamlessly with our shared values and culture. The interest and ability to deliver ATAR Physical Education Studies or ATAR Health Studies is desirable but not essential.
