We are seeking to establish a pool of Mainstream Education Assistants for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year and up untill the end of Term 2, 2026. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

North Tom Price Primary School (PS) is one of two primary schools located at Tom Price in the Pilbara region of WA, approximately 1465km from Perth. The school has attractive grounds which adjoin the local oval and is surrounded by the nearby ranges of the picturesque Hamersley Ranges. The renowned Karijini National Park is a short drive away providing a picturesque recreational area to visit and enjoy.

The school has approximately 280 students from Kindergarten to Year Six. Our students come from all over the world including Australia, New Zealand, Philippines and Thailand.

The Role

Suitable applicants will ideally possess strong people skills and the capacity to relate to staff, students and parents and should also be highly collaborative and willing to share their skills and expertise.

We seek enthusiastic team members who show initiative in adapting tasks to meet student needs, who continually reflect on their practice and who are open to being observed and receiving feedback to guide their professional growth. You will contribute advice and expertise; collaborating with staff to support and monitor student progress.

We encourage positive and passionate applicants with experience in a mainstream setting, or the ability to learn and take direction, to apply. The ideal candidate will be eager to work closely with the classroom teacher to foster a safe and supportive classroom environment.
