We are seeking to establish a pool of School Officer for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year and up to the end of Term 3, 2026. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

East Waikiki Primary School (PS) is located in the suburb of Cooloongup in the seaside City of Rockingham, approximately 45km south of Perth. The school zone is encompassed within Ennis Ave, Grange Drive, Goongarrie Drive, Read St and Gnangara Drive.

East Waikiki was established in 1987, commencing operations with an enrolment of 36 part-time pre-primary students and 149 primary students, a total of 185. By 1997 the school had experienced remarkable growth and peaked at 999 students. Since then enrolments have slowly declined.

The Role

The School Officer is responsible for reception duties, including greeting visitors, answering the telephone, and responding to routine enquiries and requests for information in an efficient and friendly manner. They provide general clerical and administrative support, including preparing correspondence, newsletters, notices, and other materials in a timely manner.

They also distribute and collect documents, forms, and mail, collect and receipt monies, operate and maintain office equipment, input data and generate reports, arrange catering for school functions, make travel arrangements for staff, assist with maintenance of school facilities, and support student-related activities such as maintaining attendance records and assisting with student enrolment procedures. They also assist the Manager Corporate Services with the induction and training of school support staff and recruitment processes and maintain staff records and contact relief staff as directed
