We are seeking to establish a pool of Technical Support Officer for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2026. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Byford Secondary College (SC) is a newer school in Perth’s southern suburbs. We have first class facilities to support high quality teaching and learning programs in our college. Located approximately 30 kilometres from the Perth CBD, our College caters for 1500 students in Years 7 through to 12. We offer a unique setting to many other metropolitan schools, with a blend of urban and rural students; this creates a vibrant mix of students and staff within the college community.

The Role

As a Technical Support Officer, you will provide first level and second level support for Information Communications Technologies (ICT) systems and services. You will assist in the installation, maintenance and support of ICT systems and services, including windows and macOS devices, printers, iPad, network hardware, telephone systems and software to set specifications.

Your responsibilities include testing and maintaining hardware and software applications according to the department’s standard operating environment and adhering to quality management procedures, undertake research to identify appropriate new software, hardware and other ICT resources and technologies.

Additionally, you will provide ICT technical support to local primary schools and across learning areas, liaise with external service providers for incident resolution of ICT equipment collect and assist with maintaining the ICT resources and assets register in accordance with departmental security policies and procedures.
