About Our School
Babakin Primary School (PS) is a small, family-oriented school located in the heart of the Central Wheatbelt. We cater for students from Kindergarten to Year 6, and currently operate one well-resourced multi-age classroom. Our small size is our strength—allowing for personalised, high-quality learning experiences in a nurturing environment.
Our staff, students and community work together with shared purpose and mutual respect, guided by our values of Respect, Responsibility and Resilience, and our motto: “Together We Make a Difference.” We have high expectations and are committed to delivering inclusive, engaging and diverse learning programs tailored to student needs.
The successful applicant will be well supported by a strong team structure, including two Education Assistants who each work four days a week, and a full DOTT (duties other than teaching) day every Tuesday. Our school is also very well resourced, offering a professional and engaging work environment.

The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate educator who brings a high level of professionalism and a genuine commitment to improving student outcomes—particularly in literacy and numeracy—for every child, every day.
The successful applicant will demonstrate strong knowledge and application of the Western Australian Curriculum, and confidently use it to plan, teach, assess, and report. You will also embrace our whole-school approaches, which include explicit teaching, instructional strategies, and differentiation, ensuring every student is supported and challenged appropriately in their learning journey.
At Babakin PS, we value the integrated use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) to enrich teaching and learning, and we actively encourage innovative practice in this space.
Our small team works collaboratively and inclusively to create a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment. Familiarity with the Quality Teaching Strategy, Teaching for Impact, and Phonics Initiative will be highly regarded, as these form part of our whole-school pedagogical practices.
We are looking for an educator who is not only skilled and knowledgeable, but also committed to ongoing professional growth, reflective practice, and working closely with colleagues and the wider school community to ensure every student reaches their full potential.
This is a unique opportunity to make a real impact in a school where every child is known, valued and supported. If you're an enthusiastic and flexible educator who thrives in a collaborative, community-focused environment, we encourage you to apply.
