This is a 6 month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 3, 2025 with possible extension and/or permanency
Mount Hawthorn Primary School (PS) opened in 1906 and is situated on Whadjuk Noongar Boodja. The school caters for 940 students in Kindergarten to Year 6 with four to six classes per year level, and offers exceptional opportunities for students in science, music, sport, Aboriginal culture, and visual art. Our dedicated and professional teachers maintain an environment which supports each child every day to achieve their personal best. The Role
The successful applicant will ideally embrace our improvement agenda and strategic direction to implement whole school evidence-based teaching practices. They will ideally have the capacity to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as engage with our impact coach to continuously grow their pedagogical skills. Experience with the science of learning, explicit teaching strategies, TAPPLE, engagement norms, and daily review will be highly regarded. We partner with Shaping Minds to deliver high quality professional learning for our teachers.
The successful applicant will be the full-time teacher in one of our five Year 1 classrooms for Semester 2, 2025. There is the possibility of extension into 2026 and/or permanency.
