The Capability Support branch leads and manages the implementation and coordination of online learning systems and tools for use in schools and for staff professional learning across the organisation. The branch oversees and manages processes for the production and publication of classroom and professional learning resources. We support the development and delivery of identified system professional learning and resource development priorities and provide expert advice to support the implementation of Statewide Services systems.
The Role
As Education Officer you will support the implementation and coordination of online learning initiatives and resource development for schools, regions, and system level contexts, including planning and the development of online systems, tools and services to support staff professional learning and to support schools, teachers, and students in relation to effective teaching and learning systems.
This position requires a high-level understanding and experience of contemporary online learning practices and sound understanding of the K-12 education environment.

Eligibility

- hold a recognised qualification in teaching and be currently registered or eligible for registration to teach in Western Australia.
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check
- be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
- consent to a National Criminal History Check with the Department's Screening Unit.
