Our School
Located attractively near the beach, Port Hedland PS is a school of choice in the Hedland area with an enrolment base of 490 students. Our families mainly encompass those employed in the mining industry and in professional positions in the region.
Our students have a range of opportunities to develop academically, socially and personally with the support and care of dedicated teachers and school staff working with families.
We love having parents involved in our school and in their children's education, and we develop strong and positive relationships in the community. Activities during the year like parent information sessions, parent-teacher interviews, open nights and concerts, allow parents to interact with class teachers and be part of their children's learning. We have a dedicated and pro-active School Board and P&C.
