Vacancy

We currently have one (1) full-time, fixed term vacancy, for a maximum period of 12 months.

The Role

This position oversees and manages a small team of Human Resource Consultants who are responsible for managing the State Library’s day to day HR administrative and operational tasks, ensuring compliance, and supporting the State Library’s Directorates in achieving their strategic goals.

The key responsibilities of this position are:

  • Provides and advocates for a knowledge-based approach to the delivery of HR consultancy and advisory services through support, guidance and empowerment of direct reports.
  • Advises on and manages the progress of recruitment and establishment activities as undertaken by the team to ensure timely progress.
  • Provides coaching, guidance, direction, support and reporting regarding sensitive and complex people issues.
  • Participates in the development and delivery of strategic human resources projects.
  • Develop, implement and evaluate human resource policies, practices, and systems to reflect a contemporary human resource practice.
  • Supports the Manager People & Culture by providing advice and direction to facilitate the resolution of workforce matters.

Other Conditions

This temporary, fixed term opportunity has been created to work primarily on strategic HR project deliverables and is for a finite period. The position will support the Manager People & Culture to ensure smooth HR operations. The aim is to maintain productivity and support leadership effectiveness during this period of significant change within the HR function.
