The Campaigns and Projects team work collaboratively across the entire department in the delivery of projects, campaigns and events to deliver outcomes that meet the needs of the business unit and directorate. The Branch ensures all activities are designed to enhance the brand, image and reputation of the Department and promote Western Australian Government initiatives in education. The expertise in this branch works with Minister’s office to deliver campaigns. This area drives creativity and innovation working alongside their directorate colleagues.

The Role

As a Project Support Officer, you will contribute to the successful delivery of communication projects and programs by providing research, analysis, and project management support. Working closely with teams across the directorate, you will assist in planning, coordination, and contract management to ensure effective communication outcomes. Your role will involve preparing a range of communication materials, supporting working groups, and offering advice on simple communication requests while maintaining a strong understanding of departmental objectives and priorities.

In this role, you will build and maintain effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring collaboration and knowledge-sharing across teams. You will use insights from past communication activities to inform strategies, helping to refine audience engagement approaches. Additionally, you will promote consistency in branding and messaging by supporting the application of the department’s brand and style guides.
