This is a 13 month fixed term, full-time position commencing ASAP up until the end of April 2026 with possible extension

A great opportunity exists for a passionate and results driven Principal Advisor to join a significant program of work to roll-out an innovative software platform into Western Australian public schools.

Program Kaartdijin has been established to implement a functionality fit, technologically robust solution to replace the Student Information System (SIS) currently used in 800+ schools throughout Western Australia. The Program vision is to provide a contemporary administrative and finance solution connecting people, processes and systems for school communities now and into the future.

The Department has contracted TechnologyOne as the provider of the core finance functionalities and Compass Education as the provider of student and school administration, timetabling and billing functions for schools.

Your role within the Program will be to provide an essential schools’ lens to the Program, representing a strategic voice for school needs, and coordinating advice and guidance for school leaders as they implement the new solution in their schools.

The Role

As a member of the Program, you will collaborate across Program workstreams to:

  • Provide professional leadership and advice to principals on school directions and outcomes in relation to implementing the Program.
  • Provide strategic advice to all stakeholders concerning the development and deployment of the Kaartdijin solution to ensure the Program meets the needs of schools.
  • Facilitate opportunities for school leaders to access practical support, planning advice, information, professional learning and online resources to assist with the implementation of Kaartdijin.

A comprehensive understanding of current Department policies, systems and processes in relation to school and student administration is essential. A focus on customer service and continuous improvement in relation to school support is a key component of this role.
