
We are seeking to establish a pool of K-6 Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year and up to the end of Term 1, 2026. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role
We are seeking passionate and highly skilled educators to join our dynamic teaching team. Teachers with a Specialty (K-6 Classroom Teachers, Music, LOTE, Science, or Physical Education) are encouraged to apply. Suitable applicants will ideally be an enthusiastic and committed professional who uses data-informed practice and High-Impact Teaching Strategies to progress students learning and achievement. You should display proven success implementing the Explicit Teaching model within a clear plan-teach-assess cycle and be data-driven in your instructional decisions. You will preferably display quality differentiated teaching practice. HPS has a 1:1 iPad program in Years 4-6. The ideal candidate will create a caring, engaging, and challenging classroom environment that reflect high expectations for all students. You should hold a strong belief that all students can achieve success and a relentless commitment to teaching excellence.
Suitable applicants should display the ability to work collaboratively within a team, contributing positively to whole-school-programs and processes, and demonstrate a willingness to share practice and support collective improvement using a school coaching model. You will ideally be capable of designing and delivering innovative and engaging programs that extend, and challenge Gifted and Talented students.
We are seeking teachers with exceptional interpersonal skills and a natural ability to communicate effectively and foster genuine relationships with parents, students, and colleagues. The capacity to excel in an environment characterised by whole-school connected practice, following priorities outlined in our 2024-2027 Strategic Plan, and a commitment to ongoing professional growth is highly valued. Experience in implementing DIBELS, InitiaLit, Spelling Mastery and whole school Mathematics practice is preferred.
This pool of K-6 Teachers may be utilised for classroom teacher vacancies that arise however, we anticipate that it may also be accessed to fill any vacancies arising in our specialist areas (Music, Physical Education, Science, LOTE).

Vacancies may arise during the life of this pool that require specialist qualifications (for example vacancies within Early Childhood Education). Only applicants, in the pool, possessing the required qualifications will be considered for appointment in these circumstances.
