We are seeking to establish a pool of Library Officers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2026. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role

As a Library Officer you will be responsible for the provision of reference information and maintaining the resources, environment and associated services of the school library to support the learning outcomes of students. The Library Officer also administers the library systems ensuring library records are up to date and library resources are maintained and processed so they are accessible and available to students and staff at all times. An excellent working knowledge of Schools Information System (SIS), Compass, Accessit Library and Bookit would be highly desirable.

The suitable applicants should be able to inspire a love of reading in students and help create a welcoming and engaging library atmosphere. They will work closely and cooperatively with other Library Officers and staff to support the smooth operation of the library and promote reading across the school. Strong communication skills, approachability, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are important. A love of books, along with a solid understanding of library systems, processes, and stocktake procedures, would be an advantage.
