This is a permanent full-time position commencing August 2025.

Moora Residential College is located in a safe and secure setting next to Central Midlands Senior High School.

The Role

This job opportunity is unique if you are a caring, dedicated and enthusiastic person who has a genuine desire to assist young people complete their education while living away from home and family.

Boarding supervisor’s help students develop into well rounded and responsible members of the Residential College community. They support them with their personal development and school learning and help students become involved in college life by organising a range of recreational activities and excursions.

The successful applicant will supervise students, providing appropriate care to support their wellbeing and fulfill duty of care responsibilities in line with relevant legislation and Department requirements. You will also attend college functions and promotion activities as required by the College manager, including award presentations, special events, orientation and open days, regional field days and agricultural shows.

For this position, the person's gender is a genuine occupational qualification (Equal Opportunity Act 1984). Only applicants possessing the required qualification will be considered for appointment in these circumstances.

Consideration may be given to job sharing if the business needs are met.  Accommodation may be provided onsite for the duration of shifts if required to enable to role to suit a drive in drive out arrangement.  No permanent housing is available with this position.

Eligibility

To work with us, you must: 

  • be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
  • consent to a National Criminal History Check with the Department's Screening Unit.
  • work according to rostered hours which may include nights, weekends and public holidays
  • obtain (prior to first rostered shift working with students) and maintain a current:
    • First Aid Certificate – Provide CPR (HLTAID009); and
    • First Aid Certificate – Provide First Aid (HLTAID011);
  • within six months of commencement of employment obtain and maintain a current:
    • LR Class Driver’s Licence and a Passenger Transport Driver (PTD) authorisation
    • Aquatic Rescue for Group lll Pool Award*
    • Surf Rescue Certificate*

* Dependent on operational requirements as determined by College Manager.
