We are seeking to establish a pool of Secondary Generalist Teacher for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2026. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Ballajura Community College (BCC) is one of the largest providers of the Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) courses in the North-East Metropolitan Region. The Role

As a Secondary Generalist Teacher, the suitable applicants will ideally possess excellent interpersonal skills and be relationship focused, able to provide engaging, relevant and meaningful learning. You should be innovative, knowledgeable and understand instructional curriculum whilst keeping abreast of the latest developments within your Learning Area. You should also be reflective in assessing the effectiveness of your teaching practice and able to cultivate a safe and accountable learning environment.

You will ideally support the implementation of the college’s Business Plan, work and teach in a team environment, be committed to whole College approaches and initiatives, and have a strong evidence-based approach to teaching. You should have experience in a wide range of teaching models and differentiating the curriculum. Adopting inclusive practices, building positive relationships with students, staff and the community are important components of the role. Applicants will ideally have an excellent knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and be able to teach students of varying ability levels across Year 7 – 12 in a highly engaging manner in one or more of the Learning Areas of Math, English, Science and Humanities (MESH), Technologies, Health and Physical Education and the Arts. You will ideally have strong classroom management and skills to engage students successfully. Primary teachers are encouraged to apply.
