Our School
Australind Senior High School (SHS) is located north of Bunbury with easy access to the wider Southwest region. Australind SHS is the largest Independent Public School in the South West region of Western Australia. Location and Community
The Australind community is widespread and diverse with 600 of the 1200 students attending school by bus each day from Harvey, Brunswick Junction, Binningup and a range of other localities within the Harvey Shire. The Role
Australind SHS is seeking to appoint an energetic and motivated Music Teacher join their friendly team. Working on Tuesdays only, the successful applicant will play a key role in delivering Certificate II in Music (CUA26206) to our students whilst teaching a range of lower and senior school Jazz and Contemporary Music contexts.
We are seeking a highly skilled teacher who builds excellent relationships with students and can recognise the current musical direction their students wish to pursue. Our ideal applicant would display their proven impact on student success through tailored curriculum delivery addressing students’ needs and student engagement whilst being an innovative individual who possesses high quality teaching skills and musical experience
The successful applicant will ideally be a passionate and motivated educator, who is committed to improving outcomes for every child, every day, through our whole school approaches, explicit teaching and instructional strategies. They will ideally be committed to ongoing professional growth and development, support current whole school processes and be a collegial, effective collaborator..

Teachers and School Administrators employed at Australind Senior High School in 2025 are eligible to receive a Temporary Attraction and Retention Incentive of $2 500 (pa, gross – to be adjusted pro rata for FTE and tenure). Eligible staff will receive a percentage of this payment on commencement at the school, with the remainder paid at the end of the school year. Staff must remain employed in the location until the end of the school year to be eligible to receive the second payment.
The Temporary ARI payment is in addition to other incentives that may apply in this school.
