Tom Price PS is situated in the Pilbara Education Region some 1,500 kilometres north of Perth. It is one of two primary schools located in Tom Price. The school was opened in 1967, on its present location, to service the children of workers in the local iron ore mine. The school is located in the middle of town close to all amenities. The renowned Karijini National Park is a short drive away, providing a picturesque recreational area to visit and enjoy.

The Role

Tom Price PS is looking for a committed, passionate teacher to join our collaborative and dedicated team of professionals.

The successful applicant will ideally possess a strong knowledge of highly effective teaching strategies, specifically in explicit direct instruction, as well as the ability to understand and use student and whole school performance data effectively to inform planning and differentiation across all year levels. Knowledge of Letters and Sounds, Heggerty, Spelling Mastery, Brightpath, Talk for Writing and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) will be valuable in this role.

We are seeking a teacher who pursue excellence in teaching, has high expectations, and truly believes that all children can learn and be successful. You should also be committed to putting students first in your decision-making and undertake the hard work that is inherent in adhering to a whole school approach. You will deliver motivating and quality educational programs and believe that exemplary, evidence-based teaching practices lead to successful students and high standards of achievement.
