The Role
The successful applicant will ideally develop and support the day-to-day operations of the library and provision of reference, information and associated services to teaching staff and students. They will administer library systems which ensure library records and other school stock are up to date, maintained and processed so they are always accessible and available to students and staff. The successful applicant will ideally have experience in the Lexile reading program and as a Scholastic Bookclub Coordinator. The successful applicant will ideally conduct library skills training and demonstrate the use of library systems and equipment.
Working collaboratively with staff and responding to the cultures and interests of students, the successful applicant will ideally prepare stimulating and topical library displays, connect purchasing with curriculum initiatives and engage the community in school-based literacy events. Knowledge of how to run and manage a budget, including the purchasing of relevant stock and required licenses is highly regarded
