The Role
The Deputy Principal will ideally lead the development and implementation of best practice teaching and learning strategies across the school, promoting and embedding the agreed school lesson framework to enhance student engagement and achievement.
This role may involve coaching and mentoring teachers to refine their practices and adopt innovative, evidence-based teaching methods, while also facilitating professional learning communities to foster collaboration and growth. Additionally, the Deputy Principal should provide leadership in the use of data to inform teaching practices and monitor student progress, supporting a culture of continuous professional development and encouraging staff to embrace change and implement new strategies.
As an active member of the school leadership team, the Deputy Principal would work closely with other leaders to shape the school’s educational vision and direction. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), Talk for Writing and Oxford Maths.
