This is a permanent part-time (0.4FTE) position commencing Term 2, 2025

The Role

Wattle Grove Primary School (PS) is seeking a dedicated and dynamic - English as an Additional Language/Dialect (EAL/D) teacher who ideally should have thorough understanding of students with limited schooling and/or students with little English language knowledge.

The successful applicant should possess leadership, passion and an excellent knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and the WA English, as well as an understanding as an Additional Language/Dialect (EALD) Progress Map. Ideally, the successful applicant will be a dedicated, collaborative and highly motivated educator with the ability to develop quality teaching and learning programs across all learning areas to develop the students’ language and literacy needs.

To be successful in this role, you should have a strategic, evidence and goal-focused approach to teaching that engages, supports, and challenges students to be active learners and critical thinkers. The ability to work effectively in and across teams is important. The context of the school will require you to apply effective interpersonal and emotional intelligence skills across the school as you support EAL/D students to be successful. This includes working closely with parents and the community to attain the best educational outcomes for them.
