The Role

At CVPS, the Manager Corporate Services (MCS) is a crucial member of the Executive Leadership Team, responsible for managing the school’s financial, physical, and human resources. Reporting directly to the principal, the MCS plays a key leadership role in the day-to-day operations of the school while also contributing to long-term strategic planning and change management. This includes working collaboratively with individuals, teams, school committees, and external stakeholders to progress the school’s strategic priorities and ensure administrative processes comply with relevant legislation, policies, and Department guidelines.

The MCS also oversees support staff such as cleaners and gardeners, and is responsible for staff performance management, monitoring leave entitlements, and promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. The MCS also manages the school’s physical assets, including buildings and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) infrastructure, ensuring they are well maintained and support the learning environment.

Human resource responsibilities include recruitment, selection, induction of new staff, and ongoing performance development. The MCS may also be involved in overseeing school promotions and public relations activities, contributing to the school’s positive public image and community engagement.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced MCS who is committed to the school’s values and business objectives. The successful applicant will be someone who builds and maintains positive relationships with staff, students, parents, and the wider community. They will ideally think critically to solve problems, demonstrate agility in their approach to challenges, and collaborate effectively as part of a team. A strong commitment to professional growth, openness to feedback, and a willingness to learn and develop are valued. The MCS is expected to model the school’s values, actively contribute to a positive school culture, and play a vital role in supporting student success through effective and strategic business operations.
