The Information Systems – ECT (Examination, Certification and Testing) are seeking to establish a pool of Principal Consultant - Program Analysis for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during 2025 and up to the end of May 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The School Curriculum and Standards Division provides administrative and secretariat services, and implements the decisions of the School Curriculum and Standards Authority (the Authority). The Authority provides quality curriculum, assessment and standards to enable all Western Australian students to become confident, creative learners and active, informed citizens who contribute positively to society.

Information Systems – ECT are responsible for the logistical implementation and delivery of educational measurement activities across Western Australia which includes the Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) course examinations, and the National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN).

We are also responsible for maintaining a strong interface between schools and the Authority for the purpose of data transferal and ensuring data is of the highest integrity for all reporting requirements of the Authority as well as maintaining the efficacy of any data reported to stakeholders.

The Role

The Principal Consultant – Program Analyst designs, develops, maintains and supports major computer applications for Information Systems and is responsible for providing a stable and effective platforms for use by the Authority.

Suitable applicants will manage and coordinate projects and systems development within the Information Systems section. You will manage the maintenance and standards of system development, documentation, quality assurance, application security and change control.
