This is a 8 month fixed term, full-time position commencing as soon as possible with possible extension (12 months) and/or permanency

Nungarin Primary School (PS) is seeking a motivated and passionate Early Childhood Education Teacher to join our small teaching team.

The successful applicant will be supported to develop your teaching career and opportunities of leadership roles may arise within our school across the regional network.

Nungarin PS is a very small Eastern Wheatbelt rural school, 41 km North of Merredin. Nungarin PS is a very important part of this close-knit community. We actively partake in local activities and encourage community members to engage with us and assist in our school. We cater for children from Kindergarten to Year 6. Central to our school's purpose is high quality teaching, explicit learning across all curriculum areas with a strong focus on English and Mathematics. Our school is renowned for professional staff and a strong commitment to giving children the best educational opportunities.

At Nungarin PS the rich, harmonious, and friendly tone of the students, parents, families, and the broader community bring together the perfect atmosphere for a student to establish a sense of belonging, enhance learning opportunities and thrive toward their goals.

It would be desirable to have an Australian driver’s license and your own transport, as suitable housing may be sought it neighbouring communities/towns.

The Role

As an Early Childhood Education Teacher, the successful applicant will ideally possess the capacity to provide a learning environment that is caring, engaging, and differentiated to cater for a range of learning needs.

You will ideally have the ability to deliver the Western Australian Curriculum and have an excellent understanding of the Aboriginal Cultural Standards Framework. We are seeking a teacher who has strong classroom management and skills to engage students successfully.

The successful applicant should be motivated and committed to creating an engaging, inclusive, and challenging learning environment; based on high accountability and sound expectations to ensure all students achieve their maximum potential. You will ideally be flexible, have a strong work ethic, and develop positive, productive partnerships with students, colleagues, and the community.
