Geraldton Senior High School (SHS) is seeking to appoint a Gardener – Handyperson to maintain their gardens.

Geraldton SHS has a long and well-documented history having commenced in 1939. Since then, it has been at the forefront of providing quality secondary education to students from all over Western Australia in the Midwest Region.

Located next to the city centre in a parkland environment, the school is an architectural highlight of Geraldton. It caters for students in Year 7 to 12 and offers a diverse range of academic, vocational, social, and service programs for its student population of around 1000 students.

Geraldton SHS is highly regarded within the Geraldton community. Meaningful relationships between staff, students and families are considered vital to the ongoing success of the school.

The Role

The successful applicant will ideally have a passion for the outdoors and enjoy working to provide a suitable growing environment for both soft and hard landscaping, including turf management. The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining and presenting our school grounds in a clean and tidy welcoming condition. We are looking for a team player to work collaboratively with all staff as part of a whole school community. As part of the role, you will be required to carry out minor repairs and maintenance as requested as well as other Gardener – Handyperson duties in accordance with the Departments policies and guidelines.
