We are seeking to establish a pool of Associate Principal for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year and up to the end of Term 3, 2026. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Wellard Village Primary School (WVPS) has established a culture of powerful relationships with all key stakeholders in our community. Suitable applicants will ideally display and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have strong relationship skills. The ability to establish genuine, positive and caring relationships with our students and families is paramount. This role will include the management of behaviour across our school as well as the provision of pastoral care. Knowledge and understanding of Trauma Informed Practice, the Berry Street Educational Model, Positive Behaviour Support, Zones of Regulation and Universal Design for Learning  is desirable to be successful in this role.

The Role

WVPS is seeking an inspirational and motivated leader to join a high performing, highly organised, supportive and forward-thinking leadership team in a rapidly growing school, in our third year of operation. This is an exciting and challenging role, and we welcome a range of applicants with a range of experiences.

To be a successful member of the WVPS leadership team you should possess the personal attributes of an effective leader, be passionate about making a difference and be able to promote and drive our vision and strategic directions.

WVPS are seeking instructional leaders, who can influence a highly effective workforce, creating high levels of student achievement. This role will include leading multiple year level teams through our ‘focus on learning’ DuFour PLC model and coaching and mentoring staff in our whole school approaches and pedagogical framework.

Suitable applicants will be well placed to lead a data literate culture creating effective systems to monitor and interpret data to inform future planning and meet the needs of our students. You will ideally be adept at analysing and reviewing school performance data to inform evidence based and well managed change, with a case management approach to student learning and academic achievement. You will work alongside staff to build highly reflective practitioners who can effectively measure their impact on students.
