
We are seeking to establish a pool of Mainstream Education Assistants for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year and up to the end of Term 3, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role
Mainstream Education Assistants support the teaching and learning of students through assisting teachers in delivering planned education programs and encouraging a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Duties include assisting with planned education programs, implementing individual or small group demonstrations under teacher direction, assisting with preparation, storage, and maintenance of equipment, materials and resources used in class, helping to supervise students during activities outside the classroom, assisting with general care and wellbeing of students, and providing administrative support.
Suitable applicants will, under teacher direction, assist in the delivery of planned education programs, implement individual or small group programs and be able to provide valuable feedback to support student learning. They will assist with the preparation and maintenance of the learning environment by maintaining equipment, materials, and resources, for use in classes, displays, and demonstrations, and assisting the teacher with clean and safe storage of items after classes and activities. Suitable applicants will ideally have initiative and carry out tasks efficiently, as well as working as an effective team member.
You will be working as part of the early childhood team, communicating with teachers and support staff as well as students and their families. The role will be about building meaningful relationships with children and families, and the ability to work with small groups and one-on-one is highly desirable.
You will help students develop their skills, reach key milestones, and contribute to their well-being. Suitable applicants should have well-developed behaviour management strategies and be able to implement Landsdale Primary School's positive engagement expectations.
