This is a four (4) month fixed term, full-time position commencing 30 June 2025 with possible extension (2 months) and/or permanency
The Schools Group is responsible for developing strategic directions to promote and enhance Government schools. This includes providing educational leadership to regions and schools, promoting excellence in teaching practices and learning outcomes, developing and implementing operational policies to achieve desired results, and setting directions for the delivery of services to schools.
The Role
In this dynamic role, you will provide effective professional and strategic management support to the Deputy Director General – Schools, Manager and Principal Consultants, in relation to initiatives, programs, projects, and strategies. Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, you will facilitate quality outcomes, maintain effective relationships, and uphold confidentiality in all matters.
In this role you will provide a high level of quality assurance to the preparation of data, research, review of briefing papers, correspondence, project budgets and confidential support documentation on behalf of the Deputy Director General – Schools, Manager and Principal Consultants. A key aspect of the role will be the provision of editorial oversight for all briefing notes, ministerials, reports and correspondence.
