The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and organised School Officer to join our team and play a vital role in managing the financial, operational, and administrative aspects of our school. The School Officer will help ensure the financial stability of the school by managing school assets and supporting the operation of school databases, records and management information systems. Key responsibilities include undertaking account and GST coding, reconciling financial records, processing invoices, transporting receipts to the bank, and maintaining data integrity. The School Officer will also collate financial figures to assist in planning and budgeting. Knowledge of Resource Management (RM) Finance, RM Billing, Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS), and the Student Information System (SIS) would be highly desirable.
In addition to financial management, the School Officer will assist with the administration of school assets and facilities. Responsibilities will include overseeing the out-of-hours use of school premises, coordinating maintenance and repairs, and maintaining key registers and security system codes.
The ideal applicant should be a positive, friendly, and team-oriented professional who is committed to promoting excellence within our school. As the first point of contact for the school community, the School Officer will complete a range of administrative duties, including greeting visitors, answering telephone enquiries, and responding to routine requests for information. They will work closely with the administration team, school support staff, teaching staff, and the wider school community to deliver high-quality customer service and administrative support. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, a passion for collaborative work, and a caring attitude towards students, families, and staff will be key to success in this role.
