This is a fixed term, full-time position commencing July 2025 up until July 2028
The Role
The Regional Learning Specialist (RLS) project supports students who are:
- located at regional schools
- enrolled through the School of Isolated and Distance Education (SIDE)
- studying ATAR English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS).
The RLS supplements the online classes provided by their SIDE teacher by providing senior secondary students with:
- face-to-face tuition
- online fortnightly tutorials.
The RLS team also build the capacity of less experienced regional teachers of ATAR courses by sharing:
- curriculum expertise
- exemplary teaching and learning practices.
This role includes significant travel across the state, which applicants must be able to commit to.
The successful applicant should be an expert and passionate teacher of Mathematics, committed to excellence in teaching and learning. They should have the professional knowledge, understanding, and experience to deliver an engaging and relevant secondary school Mathematics curriculum. The successful applicant should be flexible, willing to work collaboratively with staff and possess strong interpersonal skills to allow connection across school communities to achieve the best outcomes for all students. This job role requires the successful applicant to support students in 2 of the ATAR Mathematics courses. Experience in teaching Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) Mathematics courses is essential
