
We are seeking to establish a pool of Teachers - Education Support for fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year and up to the end of Term 1, 2026. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
At Halls Head College Education Support Centre (CESC), we strongly believe that all students are capable of learning and improving and we seek to support them as they progress through the middle year stages of their learning journey. The school strives for excellence within a highly collaborative and team focussed culture. The Education Support Centre is situated on the campus of Halls Head College. Our students are drawn from the Mandurah area and surrounding suburbs, as well as from town sites as far north as Golden Bay, south to Waroona and east to Pinjarra. The school enrols students from Years 7 to 10, with intellectual disabilities, Autism and other high level support needs.

The Role
The suitable applicants should create a classroom environment that is caring, differentiated and responsive to the needs of each individual student. You will ideally be a reflective teacher with a commitment to continual professional growth to improve your practice and ideally possess a willingness to embrace engaging digital learning approaches and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) to work effectively with our diverse range of students.
The suitable applicants will ideally be able to build productive relationships and to communicate positively with students, parents and the whole community. Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills that will enhance effective learning are highly desirable, as well as the initiative and motivation to improve student outcomes.
Applicants with knowledge and experience in working with students with autism and mild intellectual disabilities to those with moderate/severe and complex high needs are encouraged to apply. Experience in delivering Award Scheme Development and Accreditation Network (ASDAN) is highly desirable.
