This is a six (6) month fixed term, full-time position commencing May 2025 with possible extension and/or permanency
The Digital Content team are the digital strategy and creative experts within the Department of Education’s Communications directorate. We provide high-level digital communication services including:
- digital strategy, policy and advice
- digital asset management
- internal communications strategies
- digital content design and development
- social media strategy and creative content development
- performance analytics.
We are the custodians of the Department’s websites, our award-winning staff intranet and official social media channels. We work closely with our stakeholders to ensure strategies, campaigns, projects and initiatives have a world-class online presence, tell our stories and hit the mark.
The Role
We are looking for a senior communications all-rounder who has creative flair, a passion for storytelling, a “can do” approach, loves meaningful and varied work, and thrives from being part of an energetic and collaborative team.
The Senior Consultant - Digital Content will be ready to take the reins to help shape digital communications strategies, develop and coordinate digital content and projects across multiple platforms, and manage end-to-end publishing processes to deliver accuracy and engagement.
Working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, you will need a high level of attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
You’ll be responsible for:
- driving customer-centric content strategies across a range of Department platforms
- writing and creating engaging content for different audiences and purposes across multiple channels including website, intranet, social media and podcasts
- refining future content through insightful post-release assessment
- fostering valuable relationships with stakeholders and providing expert advice on digital communication
- maintaining digital channels to adhere to accessibility, content and branding standards
- improving content experiences across the Department’s digital channels
- leading and mentoring others.
