This Primary, Early Childhood and Education Support branch provides coordinated support, advice and expertise to schools across all regions.. Service Delivery is the key interface with schools. Its purpose is to plan, coordinate and deliver targeted services that support schools and educators to improve student achievement.
The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Project Officer to lead the development, implementation, and review of policies, systems, and services that enhance early childhood education in Western Australian public schools. This role will provide expert advice and support to schools and regions on Preschool Reform Agreement initiatives, including the Preschool Outcomes Measure, and will collaborate with key stakeholders across public and non-government school sectors, non-government organisations, and partner agencies to drive positive outcomes for young learners.
In this role, you will provide representation on committees, develop consultation strategies, and monitor the effectiveness of Preschool Reform Initiatives, with a focus on improving early childhood pedagogical practice under the National Quality Standard (NQS) and other early childhood initiatives. You will also support schools with NQS implementation, including on-site verification visits, and contribute to the development of professional learning programs. With strong analytical and communication skills, you will prepare reports, briefings, and correspondence, working across teams to ensure integrated service delivery. Your ability to engage with stakeholders in a culturally responsive and context-specific manner will be key to the success of this role.
