This is a twelve (12) month fixed term, full-time position commencing ASAP with possible extension (3 months) and/or permanency
The Teacher Registration Directorate comprises the Registration and Customer Services Branch, the Investigations and Compliance Branch (ICB) and the Policy and Quality Assurance Branch. The Directorate is responsible for providing secretariat services to the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA). The Directorate supports the Board’s mission of serving the public interest by ensuring that teachers are registered, and teacher education programmes are accredited in accordance with relevant legislation and in the best interests of children.
The Role
As an Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for maintaining and analysing electronic databases to generate reports on the operations of the Investigations and Compliance Branch (ICB). You will play a key role in reviewing and evaluating existing information systems to ensure they align with regulatory governance requirements. In this role, you will document current operations to assess compliance with legislation and organisational standards, support the development and maintenance of policies and procedures, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of investigation processes. Additionally, you will provide high-level administrative support to the Teacher Registration Board and its committees, as well as assist in preparing matters for consideration by the State Administrative Tribunal and prosecutions under the Teacher Registration Act 2012.
Your expertise in managing strategic and operational reports, conducting internal audits, and monitoring timelines for monthly tasks will be essential in supporting the efficient operations of the ICB. You will be responsible for preparing witness statements and evidence for disciplinary and incompetence matters, as well as maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant policies and procedures. This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage and compile complex information to support regulatory functions.
