The Role
Baldivis Secondary College (BSC) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Education Support Teacher to join our supportive and dynamic team. This role is ideal for an educator who is student-centred, innovative, and committed to fostering academic success through inclusive education practices.
The Education Support Teacher will work collaboratively with the Program Coordinator – Learning Support and classroom teachers to remove barriers to learning and support the diverse needs of students across all year levels.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing individualised or small group support to students requiring inclusive education.
- Collaborating with teachers to develop and implement targeted strategies that address specific learning needs.
- Supporting students in building skills for academic success, independence, and self-advocacy.
- Monitoring and tracking student progress, ensuring appropriate adjustments and supports are in place.
- Contributing to the development and ongoing refinement of inclusive education programs within the school.
- Promoting a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom culture.
Teachers with a background or qualifications in Special Education and/or experience working with diverse learners in a mainstream setting are highly encouraged to apply.
