Western Australian College of Agriculture (WACOA) – Narrogin is seeking a motivated Female Residential Supervisor to join their college.
WACOA – Narrogin provides Year 10,11 and 12 students with a unique educational experience focused on innovation and excellence. The College is located 10 kilometres out of Narrogin, a small town in the Wheatbelt. It is approximately 2 hours from Perth and Mandurah. Students are offered the opportunity to achieve the best possible educational outcomes within the context of a commercially operating farm, state of the art trade training workshops and a 138-bed residential facility.
Residential Supervisors care for and mentor male and female students (ages 15 to 18 years old) in the residence at WACOA – Narrogin. Rosters operate after school hours and include weekends, evenings, overnight shifts and assisting with visiting groups.

The Role
As a Residential Supervisor you will provide appropriate pastoral care and supervision of students during residential hours. The successful applicant should supervise students undertaking recreational activities along with ensuring students receive appropriate daily care to maintain health and wellbeing in a safe and homely environment. Residential Supervisors are responsible for the day-to-day care of students during afterschool hours and on weekends. They should be able to work with colleagues to ensure appropriate supervision of groups of students and to work with parents and staff to coordinate care needs for students. As such the successful applicant should have excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
The successful applicant will assist students to develop personal and social skills, while also planning, organising, and transporting students to activities such as sporting fixtures, entertainment and other events on weekends. Ideally you will have experience working with youth and following operational procedures and standards, including safety protocols and emergency evacuation. As will all staff working with the Department of Education, you will be expected to adhere to the code of conduct provided by the Department of Education.
In this role you will plan and organise activities in keeping with the Department's and college policies and support students to be prepared for the learning program at the college. Residential Supervisors have responsibility for maintaining discipline and behaviour standards in accordance with Departmental and school policy. Residential Supervisors liaise with College faculties through line management in the provision of out of school hour activities. This includes the supervision of sporting and recreational activities, residential facilities (dormitories, dining room, recreation rooms) and the management of students’ residential timetables.
