This is a permanent full-time position commencing ASAP
The School Funding Branch is part of the Financial Planning and Resourcing Directorate. The Branch is responsible for the management and evaluation of the Student Centred Funding Model (SCFM) and targeted initiative funding, the transfer of funding to schools, and the coordination and processing of student and graduate allowances.
The Role
If successful, you will assist in the evaluation, development, implementation and review of policies, procedures and strategies and participate in the ongoing identification of funding requirements. You will monitor and provide advice on Government and Department policy that may affect schools’ resourcing, financial reporting to schools or operation of schools’ one-line budgets.
As the Senior Resourcing Officer you will undertake modelling on notional salary rates and SCFM prices to facilitate the release of the annual school budgets for public schools. Within this role, you will work closely with other branches and divisions to monitor and provide updates on trends in public school expenditure and contribute to continuous improvement processes for providing resources to schools.
