Morawa District High School (DHS) are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Primary School Teacher to join their friendly team in a highly supportive, rural community.

The Role
The successful applicant would work in an environment characterised by whole school connected practice, a strong commitment to High Impact Teaching, DOE Quality Teaching Strategy, professional growth and collaborative team structures. The successful applicant will ideally provide engaging, relevant and meaningful teaching and learning programs to students.
Understanding and utilising PBS and effective Classroom Management Knowledge and Skills (CMS), and Instructional Strategies in their approach to teaching and learning is highly regarded. The successful applicant should ideally have an understanding of appropriate assessment to utilise and be able to use data to evaluate the effectiveness of teaching programs, set targets and plan for differentiated learning opportunities for all students in their class. To be successful for this role, you will ideally possess a high level of interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with staff members and implement whole school approaches within the school’s business and operational plans.

Teachers and school administrators employed at Morawa District High School in 2025 are eligible to receive a temporary Attraction and Retention Incentive of $1956 (pa, gross – to be adjusted pro rata for FTE and tenure). Eligible staff will receive a percentage of this payment on commencement at the school, with the remainder paid at the end of the school year. Staff must remain employed in the location until the end of the school year to be eligible to receive the second payment.
The temporary ARI payment is in addition to other incentives that may apply in this school.
