The Role
We are seeking a committed, resilient and highly motivated Deputy Principal to join our School Leadership Team. As we are a new school, in a fast-growing area, strong relationships across the entire school community remains a priority for us. The development of a successful and caring professional learning community is a prime focus for the school and for the Leadership Team.
We have established our whole school curriculum documents and programs as well as our pedagogy; however, this will require continued review and refinement, particularly in the middle and upper primary phase of the school. As such, the successful applicant will ideally promote and maintain high expectations, leading Teaching and Learning in the middle and upper primary phase in particular. You will ideally be highly collaborative, and team focussed, working with the leadership team, teaching team, and support staff to establish and deliver programs and policies that progress student achievement in line with ‘Every Student, Every Classroom, Every Day.’
The successful applicant will ideally bring knowledge and experience in leading and implementing evidence-based curriculum and pedagogical practices to build teacher capacity and support our staff in their journey. They will use data and research to inform decision making and use coaching to create and support effective teams.
Although this role has a focus on middle and upper primary, as part of the leadership team you will be across all aspects and phases of the school, as we are one school and one team. Being visible and present in and around the school to ensure our staff are supported and our students are thriving is an important part of our school culture.
Experience in ICT and/or Digital Technologies is not essential but beneficial.
