The Role
We are looking for an exceptional English Teacher to join our diverse and highly regarded team. The successful applicant should ideally have excellent content and curriculum knowledge, high expectations, commitment to excellence, use a range of pedagogies and can establish and maintain a positive classroom learning environment. They should be a flexible, innovative, efficient and adaptive teacher, who can apply differentiated instruction and explicit teaching strategies suited to the Willetton SHS educational context. An ability to teach Year 11 and 12 courses as well as English across all year levels is highly desirable. Importantly, we are looking to employ a staff member with experience teaching ATAR English and/or Literature.
We require teachers who ideally prioritise building strong relationships, possess exceptional interpersonal skills, and are curriculum experts. As a member of our team, you should work collaboratively, be reflective and use evidence based decision-making skills to strengthen your abilities and improve student outcomes.
