The Role
The successful applicant will work as part of the FPP team to provide pastoral care support to students in a range of settings, encouraging, student attendance and achievement at school through providing an environment that nurtures emotional, physical, academic and mental health & wellbeing of all students within the cohort. We are a community, and like any community we have a range of services in place to ensure our students are happy, healthy, feel safe and able to learn effectively. As a Student Support Officer, you will also be responsible for developing intervention strategies which provide a responsive and effective support system for students, including developing preventative programs.
Student Support Officers are responsible for developing links between students, family and the school and as such, knowledge of the youth sector and associated agencies is desirable. The successful applicant will also ideally have the ability to communicate effectively (written & oral) with all stakeholders and have exceptional interpersonal skills including the ability to develop positive partnerships with students, staff and wider community.
