We are seeking an enthusiastic, committed Early Childhood Education Teacher for a fixed term appointment with a possibility of extension and/or permanency beginning in term 2 this year. This would initially be for a year 2 class

The Role
The successul applicant will ideally be passionate, motivated and skilled educators who are committed to our Early Years “playfully explicit” pedagogy. Applicants should have excellent knowledge and experience in teaching phonological awareness, phonics and oral language as well as experience and success in facilitating community engagement and supporting families to be their child’s first and best teachers, initially in a Year 2 context.
It is highly desirable that applicants are committed to developing positive relationships with students, parents, staff and the wider community. Applicants should possess a strong capacity to plan challenging and engaging programs using an excellent understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards.
We are seeking applicants who are innovative and possess high quality teaching skills and knowledge. They will ideally be committed to ongoing professional growth and development, seek and accept feedback, support current whole school processes and be collegial, effective collaborators with a passion to continually improve outcomes and school readiness for our youngest students and families.
