This is a permanent part-time (0.5FTE) position commencing Term 2, 2025
Broome Primary School (PS) was established in 1901 and is the oldest public school in the Kimberley. Broome PS is established on Yawuru land and embraces the rich Aboriginal culture, along with the diverse and multicultural aspects of the Broome community. The school actively promotes a culture that strives to maintain positive and respectful relationships with students, parents and the wider community. The four expectations of Care, Respect, Pride and Success form the cornerstone of the school’s values and are evident in the teaching and learning programs throughout the school.
Broome is located on the shores of Roebuck Bay in the Kimberley region of Australia. It is 2200 Kilometres away from Perth, the capital city of Western Australia. Broome has an interesting history based around the exploits of the men and women who developed the pearling industry in the 1880s. This history has created a population that is a unique blend of Asian, European and Indigenous cultures. Broome is rich in Aboriginal culture and is the traditional home of the Yawuru and Djugun people.
