
This is a 12 month fixed term, full-time position commencing asap with possible extension.

The Role
Teachers in the Hedland SHS Health and Physical Education team are focused on creating outstanding outcomes for students and empowering every learner. We are a collaborative, supportive and close-knit team in a way that only a high-quality regional school can be. Our practice is data-driven to ensure improvement for our students.
The successful applicant will strive for excellence in Health and Physical Education teaching and demonstrate a desire to deliver a range of courses across Year 7-12. A Certificate IV in Training and Assessing and Outdoor Education qualifications is highly regarded. We aim to empower young people from diverse backgrounds so all students can be successful. Teachers and School Administrators employed at Hedland Senior High School in 2025 are eligible to receive a temporary Attraction and Retention Incentive of $4 677 (pa, gross – to be adjusted pro rata for FTE and tenure). Eligible staff will receive a percentage of this payment on commencement at the school, with the remainder paid at the end of the school year. Staff must remain employed in the location until the end of the school year to be eligible to receive the second payment. The temporary ARI payment is in addition to other incentives that may apply in this school.
