
This is a permanent part-time (0.38FTE) position commencing Term 2, 2025
Oberthur Primary School (PS), an Independent Public School, is in a quiet area of Bull Creek and has a traditionally strong community involvement. The school population of 650 students from Kindergarten to Year 6, has a mix of cultural backgrounds and English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EAL/D) is a feature, particularly in the early years. The school is set in attractive surroundings with many trees, shade, and well- maintained gardens.
As well as an academic focus, Oberthur PS has an historically strong and established Languages program with a Chinese Immersion (bi-lingual) program commencing in Pre-primary and fully implemented up to Year Six. In addition to Chinese (Mandarin) as our language’s context, Science, Visual Arts and aspects of Mathematics are delivered in Mandarin.

The Role
As Cleaner, you will carry out internal cleaning duties, including the maintenance of carpets and hard floor surfaces, toilet cleaning, furniture and fittings, window cleaning, dusting, rubbish removal, and other items of general cleaning. In addition to this, you would also carry out external cleaning duties, including the cleaning of verandas and covered areas, cleaning of drinking troughs, removal of cobwebs, other general cleaning and other duties such as required by the Cleaner In Charge.
The successful applicant should have good communication and interpersonal skills. You should be a highly motivated and proactive person who takes pride in being responsible for providing a high standard of cleanliness within the workplace to provide a visually pleasing and safe learning environment for our students, staff and visitors of the school. The successful applicant will ideally be team focused, be able to follow instructions, but also able to work independently and with initiative.
