The Role
Are you a team player with a passion for organisation?
The Curriculum Support Officer works closely with members of the Executive Team and the Head of Operations, using their strong knowledge of administration and timetabling systems to support the daily functions of our College.
The successful applicant will use their exceptional organisational and time management skills to support the operations of timetabling, reporting, examinations and student data management. Key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting the administration of Compass including daily SIS timetable data uploads, creation of custom classes and troubleshooting data integrity/upload errors.
- Maintaining student, teacher and room timetables through SIS Timetabling, working in conjunction with Heads of Instruction, Head of Operations and the Executive team.
- Supporting the Head of Operations and Associate Principal with maintaining the SIS grid model for Years 7 to 12, including problem-solving system complexities related to students with modified curriculum and VET/WPL timetabled classes.
- Managing the Reporting to Parents system including troubleshooting student and course related data integrity errors; including completing SCSA reporting uploads to SIRS.
- Preparing examination and testing schedules, room changes, rosters and special exam condition applications for NAPLAN, OLNA, WACE and school based exams.
- Supporting subject selection processes including data entry of student preferences into SIS, to assist with the construction of future timetables.
- Providing additional support to the Head of Operations and Manager Corporate Services for administrative and curriculum related tasks as required.
We are seeking applications from proactive and solutions-focused individuals who have strong time-management, organisational and information and communication technology (ICT) skills. A working knowledge of spreadsheets and data management is preferred but not required. Experience with the use of Reporting to Parents, Student Information Records System (SIRS), Compass, SIS (Integris) Timetabling: Student Preferences/Grid Modelling/Timetable and Exam Scheduler would also be considered as advantageous.
Corporate services staff members at Hammond Park Secondary College are flexible and dedicated to working collaboratively to ensure a strong, responsive administrative service is provided to staff, students and the wider College community. They use their strong knowledge of Department of Education programs and platforms to manage information databases, and use their strong interpersonal and communication skills to address queries, problem solve and maintain a high-level of attention to detail.
There is currently a 3-month fixed term, full time position to be filled for Term 2, 2025 with possible extension at a modified work schedule.
