
This is a 12 month fixed term, part-time (0.1 FTE) position commencing Term 2, 2025 with possible extension
Calingiri Primary School (PS), located in the Wheatbelt, caters for children from Kindergarten to Year 6. Our students come from a variety of backgrounds, with many living on nearby farms. Calingiri PS is a dynamic learning community where members work collaboratively to give every child the opportunity to realise their full potential and to become resilient, confident and respectful citizens. Our small student population of 27 students allows us to know each student as an individual. Staff and students work together to create a positive school environment in which every student feels safe and is able to learn in a friendly and caring atmosphere.

The Role
The successful library officer applicant will ideally maintain the resources and environment of the school library to support the learning outcomes of students. They should operate library systems which ensure library records are up-to-date and library resources are maintained and processed so they are accessible and available to students, staff, and parents at all times. This is a half day per week position.
The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting students to loan books and will communicate and work with teachers to create bulk loans for classrooms across learning areas. The library officer will be responsible for setting up an inviting space with displays reflective of Western Australian curriculum and special cultural days across the year. Strong interpersonal skills will be highly valued in this library officer role.
