The Department of Education is seeking a dedicated senior executive to lead strategies that will improve the delivery of teaching and learning to Aboriginal students across our public school system.
About the Division
Statewide Services is committed to providing a transparent, streamlined, integrated and responsive model of service to better support school staff and student needs.
Our leaders have a deep understanding of the public school system and the needs of its school leaders and teachers to ensure that services and support delivered by Statewide Services enable improved outcomes at the school and system level.
Statewide Services encompasses both school and system–facing service delivery functions, providing the services and supports required by schools to enable student achievement, with a focus on those schools and students that need it most.
About the Role
As a key member of Statewide Services’ senior leadership team, your primary responsibility is building the capacity in schools to strengthen culturally responsive practices and approaches when working with Aboriginal students, their parents, families, communities and organisations.
As Director Aboriginal Teaching and Learning, you will be required to use your extensive knowledge and experiences to provide guidance to Statewide Services business areas in the development, implementation, monitoring and management of support to improve teaching and learning for Aboriginal students in line with the strategic directions of the agency.
