The Role
Como Secondary College is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Home Economics Assistant to join their friendly team.
The successful applicant will ideally assist the teacher in the delivery of planned education programs, ensuring safe and hygienic storage and handling of foodstuffs and food preparation utensils, and, under teacher direction, implement individual or small group programs or demonstrations. They will ideally assist with the preparation and maintenance of the learning environment by maintaining equipment, materials and resources for use in classes, displays and demonstrations, and assist the teacher with clean and safe storage of items after classes and activities. The successful applicant will ideally manage classroom resources and storeroom by maintaining and updating inventory lists, monitoring stock levels and requirements, and submits requisitions to the teacher for approval.
