The Role
West Byford PS is seeking a motivated and collaborative School Psychologist to join our friendly and dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling them to work effectively with our leadership team, staff, students, and parents. A positive, approachable demeanour and a commitment to building strong relationships are essential for success in this role.
The successful applicant will work closely with staff to implement effective strategies that address identified learning, social, and behavioural needs. They will provide individual support to students at risk and work strategically with school leaders to ensure a cohesive, whole-school approach to intervention. Additionally, the School Psychologist will assist in the development and delivery of school-based support services and programs, contributing as an integral member of our coordinated Student Services team.

- High level written and oral communication skills, demonstrating the capacity to produce correspondence, reports and case notes, and interview and training (facilitation) skills.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, which demonstrate an ability to function in a self-directed way, and as a member of an interdisciplinary team, working with a range of clients across the lifespan, Department personnel and inter-agency partners across a variety of contexts.
- Ability to apply analytical and conceptual skills to issues identification, risk assessment and analysis, intervention and evaluation.
