Aveley Primary School (PS), an Independent Primary School, is located approximately 26 km north east of the Perth CBD, in the Department of Education's North Metropolitan Educational Region. Our school is located east of Ellenbrook and south of The Vines.
Aveley PS commenced providing quality education in modern facilities for 180 students on 1 February 2012 and successfully obtained Independent Public School status in 2015. As of February 2021, with student numbers beginning to level out (after years of significant growth) our school accommodates approximately 650 students. Aveley Primary School caters for a culturally diverse student population with a relatively stable student transiency rate.

The Role
Join our team as a Gardener - Handyperson and contribute to fostering a positive learning environment! As a key member, you'll be instrumental in maintaining the school grounds, ensuring they are safe, tidy, and conducive to a positive environment for both students and staff. From overseeing the turf areas, garden beds, and shrubs to managing hard landscaping features like courts and paving, you'll play a vital role in creating an inviting and inspiring outdoor space.
Your commitment to maintaining gardening facilities, equipment, and tools in a good condition will be integral to promoting a positive culture within the school. Collaborate with the Manager of Corporate Services to develop safe work procedures, undertake risk assessments, and ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) legislation.
